Urology of Indiana Men's Health Center Vasectomy

Vasectomies are performed daily by our Board Certified urologists. Urology of Indiana has multiple vasectomy clinics around central Indiana. A Vasectomy is a safe and effective method of permanent contraception.

For many couples, a vasectomy is a practical choice in eliminating the risks of conceiving a child. Many couples also enjoy the freedom and spontaneity of not having to use other forms of contraception.

A vasectomy is a safe and effective method of permanent contraception. It’s a simple procedure usually performed in the office under local anesthetic and only requires 24 hours recovery time at home by applying ice packs to the scrotum as needed. The procedure takes 10-20 minutes, and patients are typically in and out of the office within an hour or less. A vasectomy consultation and procedure can be completed in the same visit, and patients are able to drive themselves to and from the appointment if no sedation is used.

We hope this video provides you with a better understanding of a vasectomy at Urology of Indiana, further explains the procedure and answers questions you may have about this form of permanent birth control.
